Listening: Paolo Nutini.

Who is Paolo Nutini?

Scottish born singer, Paolo Giovanni Nutini, released his debut album 'These Streets' in 2006 at the young age of 19. Paolo was always passionate about music, and it was his music-loving grandfather that pushed him towards his dreams, rather than entering the family's fish and chip music.

Paolo circa These Streets, a young cutie!

Paolo's croony jazz, blues, folk, poppy, alternative voice sent the UK music scene in to a frenzy, while his easy appearance on the eye gave him a large female following.

Following his impressive debut in 2006, Paolo released 'Sunny Side Up' in 2009, successfully breaking in to the UK music market and becoming a staple on radio stations. This gorgeously voiced Scottish boy sounds humble even though he has a superstar status, and has beautiful songs for a boy of only 24 years of age!

Paolo circa Sunny Side Up, rocking a shaved head!

You should give him a listen, you might be pleasantly suprised!

Style: Katy Perry Costumes.

The girl whose never afraid of making a statement, whether it's an uncanny costume, or a night out on the town. Katy Perry has an amazing style that is always evolving into something new, and even more outrageous. This post is dedicated to her amazing costumes, these images are only a select few of her very outlandish warddrobe, which I think might be more of a room-drobe honestly!!

My favorite Katy Perry costume style is her take on rockabilly. Donning all things kitsch and cute, Katy showed us how too dress and make a big statement.

Starting off as a modern rockabilly queen, and kissing girls, Katy Perry donned high waisted shorts, and midriff 50's inspired shirts. Her make-up wasn't over dramatic, red lips were a staple in Katy Perry make-up sessions, along with an eyebrow definer and light bronzer or blush to give the perfect rockabilly look. Her hair on the other hand varied, mainly staying curled and pinned to accentuate her style. To achieve this cute look, a pair of high waisted shorts are a must! Perhaps in a versatile white, black or navy blue. Pair them with a vintage printed shirt, tying it in the middle to create the perfect midriff look, or even a cute halterneck top. Never forget to accesorise, invest in some hair curlers or a curling iron and plentt of bobby pins to have a play around to see what rockabilly style suits you best, some red lipstick, and some cute material to make in to headbands.

Of course there is one thing Katy does when she dresses that I haven't mentioned yet, and that's perhaps the most important thing of all, wearing her clothes with confidence!

Confidence goes a long way ladies, you gotta feel rockin', to look rockin'!

Adventures/Opping.

Melbournes weather is all a bit wet and gloomy today,
Yesterday was beautiful though,
Really brings meaning to the 4 seasons in one day.

So far, I spent the day op shopping - beautiful greay coat and a sportsgirl bad :),
and came home to nice smelling corned beef and ate cheap jam donuts
I feel like going on an adventure tomorrow,
Any ideas?

Food Safari & Cafes.

So, I decided that I need to get back into Hey Peppermint.. With telling you about my giveaway on my other blog Vivre, Rire, Aimer.

But to other non-giveaway related news, have any of ever watched Food Safari? It's an Australian cooking show, hosted by Maeve off Better Homes & Gardens. It's actually really good, I'm pretty much in love with the show.

I think if I could be a chef, I would totally jump at the chance. I love all things food. I love cooking food, and more importantly I love eating food!

But I'd much prefer to be a pastry chef, and cook lots of cakes, and pastries.. I'd love to own a little cafe with mismatched furniture and a thousand varities of tea. How cool would that be? And you could come in and have some tea and some really cute cakes as well.. See this makes me wonder why I'm at Uni... Stupid life choices! Maybe when I'm old and grey, I can transform my living room into a cafe and I'll have some awesome old people parties! :)

Now I'm so hungry, wow that was sillllly to talk about food at 9:53pm!
